About the Grant
The National Book Development Board (NBDB) calls for applications for the Publication Grant 2023.
This grant provides financial subsidies for publishing Filipino content for a global audience, covering the costs of copy editing, layout, design, and printing.
Stipulations
Genres preferred, but not limited to:
climate, diversity, poetry, anthologies, crime fiction, sci-fi, graphic novels, horror, romance, queer, and non-fiction.
Language: All Philippine languages and English.
Available grant amount: maximum of Php 200,000.00 per title.

Screening Process
NBDB will only screen submissions with complete requirements.
The quality of the distribution, marketing, and promotional plans are significant factors in the selection of grantees.
The publication cost will be funded by NBDB if the application is accepted. Funding will be paid directly to the publisher.
The fund transfer schedule is as follows:
First tranche (50%) – upon acceptance and signing of the contract with NBDB on the agreed timeline.
Second tranche (50%) – upon submission of the five (5) copies of the published work in print format within the agreed timeline.
Acknowledgment
An acknowledgment has to be included on the copyright page of the book, stating that this publication is partially supported by the Publication Grant of the National Book Development Board, together with the NBDB logo.
NBDB should also be given access and permission use to parts of the content of the publication (such as synopses, high-resolution book covers, blurbs, and excerpts) for publicity and promotional purposes only.
